In 2017, Morocco has purchased six AGM/RGM/UGM-84 (Harpoon) anti-ship missiles from the United States, according to a report by the UN Register of Conventional Arms, or UNROCA.

The Mena Defense website adds that Morocco does not have ground or naval platforms for firing such missiles, hence the assumption is that they will be used by the Moroccan Air Force’s F-16 jets for anti-ship missions.

Morocco is the second North African country to have Harpoon missiles, after Egypt.
