Indian Army to Receive First Batch of K9 VAJRA-T Guns

Larsen & Toubro confirmed that the first batch of ten K9 VAJRA-T 155 mm, 52 caliber Tracked Self Propelled (SP) gun is set to be delivered to Indian Army soon, ahead of schedule. The company developed the K9 VAJRA-T jointly with South Korean defense company Hanwha Techwin (HTW), which was based on their K9 Thunder.
The first batch of 10 K9 VAJRA-T guns was brought from South Korea and then locally assembled in greenfield manufacturing line at Hazira, Gujarat of L&T. The remaining 90 guns will be manufactured at the same facility, and full order will be completed within the next three years.
