IWA 2018: EMTAN's New 9mm SMG
The EMTAN KARMIEL Company of Israel revealed a new line of products at IWA 2018, including the MZ-9 Semi-Automatic Pistol/SMG, based on the AR-15/M4 platform

EMTAN KARMIEL, an Israeli manufacturer of small arms, guns, and weapons for military and law enforcement markets, launches in IWA 2018 Exhibition, currently taking place in Nuremberg, Germany, a commercial product line including the EMTAN MZ-9 Semi-Automatic Pistol/SMG, based on the AR-15/M4 platform.
The MZ-9 is available with optional barrel lengths of 5" and 7". It utilizes 9mm standard ammunition and standard 10/20/30 round magazine. EMTAN’s 9mm Pistol/SMG is designed and manufactured according to MIL-SPEC for sport or self-defense purposes. The MZ-9 requires no additional training for users that are using the standard AR/M4 rifles.
"The MZ 9 was developed as part of EMTAN’s range of products as a main weapon for security forces operating in a crowded public area or as a main weapon for motorbike-mounted police," commented Dror Zada, VP cooperate strategy. "Having the same apparatuses and operating system as the M4 Rifles, SWAT and security forces will find the MZ-9 SMG ideal for quick and accurate target acquisition in combat or VIP protection scenario. Additionally, the MZ-9 offers a unique feature of compact length range from 500mm (stock retracted) to 600mm (stock extended) on the 5" barrel length, making it ideal as a weapon for CQB and rappelling operations."
Other products in this range include the MZ-4/MZ-15 7.5" and the MZ-300BLK 9".
