EMTAN KARMIEL, an Israeli manufacturer of small arms for military and law enforcement, launches a commercial product line including the new MZ-15 7.5" rifle, a 5.56X45mm or 223REM semi-automatic weapon, compatible with all variations of 5.56X45mm ammunition and magazines.

The MZ-15 7.5" rifle is 605mm-long in its shortest position and 690mm with fully extended 6-position buttstock. The MZ-15, based on the combat-proven MZ-4 Platform, features an original semi-automatic operation system and a short 7.5" barrel. The new rifle can be fitted with ambidextrous fixtures for right- and left-handed users.

According to Ron Pollak, EMTAN's VP Sales and Marketing, "The new short barrel MZ-15 is ideal for self-defense, security missions, and VIP protection. The short length is ideal for dismounting a vehicle when a quick response is needed, while still maintaining the firepower of the 223 or 5.56mm rounds. The operation of the weapons is the same as the known MZ-15/AR-15 /M4 platform, which is the chosen 5.56/223 platform for most of the security and defense agencies worldwide."

The MZ-15 7.5" endured stringent testing by special unit’s evaluation. It is also available as MZ-4 7.5" fully-automatic version for military and law enforcement use.
