Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Israeli aircraft targeted a research facility near Damascus on Wednesday morning. Syria accuses Israel of supporting local opposition forces. According to the report, the Syrian air defense "intercepted the missiles and destroyed most of them."
However, online reports claim that the airstrike targeted a research center in Jamrayah, a site linked to chemical weapons production that had already been targeted in December last year. Both attacks are attributed to Israel.
Israel has not officially commented on the incident.
