Elsight Reveals New Real-Time Video Transmission Tech at MiliPol 2017

"We are expanding our activities to civilian organizations, such as broadcasters, autonomous vehicle manufacturers, hospitals, and health organizations who need telemedicine in mission-critical situations," says CEO Nir Gabay

Elsight, an Israeli company that develops advanced hybrid communication technologies for real-time data, video, and audio transmission over cellular networks, is unveiling new solutions at MiliPol 2017, currently taking place in Paris.

The first solution presented at the exhibition is an advanced video transmission from unmanned aerial vehicles, including multi-rotors, enabling the transmission of professional HD broadcast directly to control centers anywhere in the world.

The second is a medical rescue kit that includes a high-quality camera delivering real-time medical data. The camera allows doctors to observe from a distance the wounded or sick on the ground and instruct paramedics in real time.

Finally, the third solution, designed for broadcasters and television channels, enables the transmission of HD-quality live broadcasts. According to the company, this solution meets the most stringent requirements of the world's leading television networks.

All of Elsight's new solutions deliver video broadcasts over cellular infrastructure without requiring additional local infrastructure deployments or costly DSNGs. Elsight's technologies represent a high-level of reliability, low latency, and a maximum adaptive bandwidth for transmission over cellular networks enabling the transmission of HD or up to 4K television broadcasts.

Nir Gabay, Elsight's CEO, commented: "After years of working with the military and security sectors successfully, we are now expanding our activities to civilian organizations, such as secure logistics, broadcasters, autonomous vehicle manufacturers, hospitals, ambulances, and health organizations who need telemedicine and more in mission-critical situations. Milipol is an excellent opportunity for us to first unveil our solutions to other verticals."
