Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has been selected to supply a cyber defense solution for the Bank of Israel’s national Central Credit Register (CCR). This follows the Bank of Israel’s announcement to contract with Matrix IT on the issue of characterization, design, establishment, operation, and maintenance of the national credit data sharing system of the Bank.
As part of this project, Matrix IT contracted Rafael to supply the cyber defense system for this national infrastructure. Rafael will provide risk assessment, design, establishment, operation and maintenance of the integrated cyber defense system.
Rafael’s selection to protect a critical national level infrastructure bolsters the company’s position as one of the major cyber defense suppliers of the Israeli government, and it is a direct continuation to Rafael's success in another major cyber defense program with the Israeli government – establishment and operation of the Israeli National CERT program, which has been operational since December 2016.
"Rafael’s expertise in the Cyber domain lies in its ability to integrate and lead complex, large-scale cyber projects. We are proud to be in the forefront of the effort to protect and defend Israel and its national organizations and infrastructure from cyber attacks, and we look forward to continued cooperation with Matrix IT," said Brig. Gen. (ret.) Ariel Karo, Head of Rafael’s Intelligence and Cyber Directorate.
"A national program of this complexity and scale demands experience and knowledge in the cyber domain. Rafael has proven its expertise in leading Israel’s CERT program, and we look forward to another strategic cooperating with Rafael once again in leading another national program, ensuring robust and secure solutions for Israel’s Central Credit Register," said Moti Gutman, Matrix CEO.
