France delivered two Rafale multirole fighter jets to Egypt; the fourth batch of a deal signed in 2015. Eleven Rafale jet have been delivered to date, and the Egyptian Air Force expects three more by the end of the year.

The deal signed between Egypt and France in mid-February 2015 worth $5.6 billion included 24 Rafale jets, a FREMM frigate and MBDA missiles.

The Dassault Rafale is a French-made twin-engine delta-wing multi-role jet fighter aircraft designed and built by Dassault Aviation. Introduced in 2000, the Rafale is being produced both for land-based use with the French Air Force and for carrier-based operations with the French Navy.
