Israel Offers Ghana Support in UAV Training

The Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Ami Mehl and Defense Attaché to Africa, Col. Aviezer Segal, have stated Israel’s intention to support the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) in training Special Forces in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

According to the Ghana Armed Forces' official website, the visit which was to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Ghana and Israel saw the discussion of the Israeli government’s readiness to sponsor and train personnel from the GAF on UAVs which were used for surveillance and counter-terrorism operations.

Several drone companies have been operating in Ghana for the past few years.
