EMTAN KARMIEL, an Israeli manufacturer of small arms and parts, was recently awarded a contract to supply thousands of modified backup folding rear sight kits to the IDF.

EMTAN participated in the tender along with various international manufacturers and was selected as winner after successfully meeting all of the tender requirements. During the tender procedure, the IDF conducted a stringent test procedure which proved that the rear sight kit by EMTAN is the one best suited for combat use due to its durability, accuracy, design and compatibility with the M4 assault rifles currently used by the IDF.

Dror Zada, EMTAN KARMIEL's VP, said: "EMTAN products and replacement parts are fitted to numerous firearms used by the Israel Defense Forces and Israel Police. We are proud of the fact that the IDF selected an Israeli manufacturer with a workforce of more than 120 employees, operating in the rural area of Israel, to supply yet another product from the EMTAN Range."

EMTAN KARMIEL manufactures the MZ Rifle family (MZ-4, MZ-15, MZ-47 and MZ-300) and other firearm models based on the well-known M4/M16 design. EMTAN's firearms are designed and manufactured in strict compliance with MIL-SPEC to meet the most stringent requirements of any military organization or police force.
