Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech on Monday morning during the 2017 Cyber Week conference at Tel Aviv University and commented on the security challenges Israel and the world are facing.

"Once it was a disadvantage to say that you come from Israel,” Netanyahu said. "Today, when you are talking about cyber or technology, it is an advantage to say ‘I’m an Israeli company.’ They want us all over the world, and they are coming here from all over the world."

"Cyber security is a growing threat everywhere," Netanyahu explained. "Everything today is becoming digital and when this happens country after country, industry after industry, and when we are entering a world of Internet, the need for cyber security grows. This is a problem for all governments, not just to protect their army or security organizations, but also their businesses. Every month, we experience dozens of cyber-attacks. At any given time, there are five to seven attacks on our national network."

Netanyahu also noted that the upcoming visit of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi will include cooperation with Israel on cybersecurity and cyber technology.

"Modi is one of the most important prime ministers in the world, in charge of the third fastest growing economy in the world. He wants to strengthen relations with Israel in many fields, including water, agriculture, health – and cyber."
