This New "Green" Ammunition Lowers Environmental Pollution

The North East Technologies Company has recently launched distribution in Israel of the modern synthetic polymer ammunition (American Eagle Syntech) by the Vista Outdoor Company of the USA, also known as the manufacturer of the famous Federal Ammunition brand. The new range-specific ammunition is "green" (lead free) and specifically intended for use in indoors training facilities. At this point, the local distributor offers 9mm 115 grain and 0.40" 165 grain ammunition, with additional calibers to be added later on.

To this day, conventional ammunition consisted of a bullet and a case made from different metals. The copper and lead fouling caused by the metal elements might, among other things, shorten the life of the firearm barrel and cause environmental contamination (including health hazards to the user).

The new synthetic polymer-encapsulated ammunition prevents that by eliminating copper and lead fouling, which not only contributes to the safety of the shooter and the other persons at the firing range, but also to a cleaner and safer environment. Additionally, the unique primer (Catalyst) by Federal provides more reliable and consistent ignition and the integration of the specialized, cleaner-burning propellant helps the firearm remain clean, extends its long-term durability and improves its performance.

The North East Technologies Company works with the IDF, the Israel Police and other security organizations whose training activities take place in indoors ranges primarily. This ammunition has already been presented to and tested by the Israel Police.

Whereas at this stage only 9mm ammunition is offered by the distributor, the marketing effort is currently aimed at the pistol platform only, namely at such HLS organizations as the Israel Police, ISA, Israel Prison Service and similar agencies.
