IMI showcased Live Firing of the "Accular” Precision Rocket

IMI Systems held a firing demo of advanced artillery systems to senior officials from 17 countries

IMI Systems (formerly Israel Military Industries) specializes in the development and manufacturing of advanced artillery systems, demonstrated its solutions last week under the headline of "The next generation of Artillery systems."

During the demonstration, IMI Systems showcased live firing of the "Accular” – a precision rocket for the range of 40 km and the 155 mm accurate shell which was developed by IMI Systems in conjunction with BAE Systems ROKAR.

The demonstration also included a 120kg warhead explosion of the long range Extra rocket, designed to attack qualitative targets in the range of 150 km and an advanced warhead.

Additionally, IMI Systems presented artillery radars made by Elta and able to operate in two modes: tracking launches of a wide range of artillery munitions and ranging artillery batteries along with artillery command and control systems, drones made by Elbit and regional meteorology system made by Mer Group.

The event which took place in a designated experiments facility located in the southern area of Israel, hosted senior officials from 17 countries, including the IMI Systems chairman Mr. Yitzhak Aharonovitch and the company's CEO, Mr. Avi Felder, as well as representatives from Elbit Systems, Elta, Mer Group and BAE Systems ROKAR.
